To help dairy companies understand the next proposed rule to be released under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), IDFA will host a webinar on “Sanitary Food Transportation” on February 14, 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. Eastern time.
The 2005 Sanitary Food Transportation Act re-emerged under the Food Safety Modernization Act and provides broad authority to the Food and Drug Administration to regulate the transportation of human and animal food products to protect products from food-safety hazards during transport. FDA is expected to propose specific regulations later this month to implement the statute and will coordinate with the U.S. Departments of Agriculture and Transportation in this rulemaking process.
Join our webinar to understand what the regulations will mean to dairy companies and the transportation industry.
Webinar participants will hear from Elizabeth Fawell, a food safety expert from Hogan Lovells US LLP. She will review the steps needed to keep a facility’s transportation process in shape for inspections under FSMA.
