Kittle's Home Furnishings has opened a 15,000-square-foot Bassett Home Furnishings store in its former Rooms Express location here.
The store, on Britton Parkway in the Tuttle Crossing shopping center in greater Columbus, Ohio, is the Indianapolis-based Top 100 company's first Bassett store and features a variety of Bassett's midpriced custom furniture. It includes an HGTV Home Design Studio and HGTV Home-branded custom upholstery.
"Bassett has developed a fresh, creative design studio experience with custom manufacturing capabilities that are unmatched in terms of quality for their price," Kittle's said in a release. The custom upholstery is made in the United States, available in more than 1,000 fabrics and leathers, and is delivered within 30 days.
The store also features most of Bassett's bestselling bedroom and dining room collections, custom dining, living room tables, and home entertainment furniture.
The company did not disclose projected sales.
"This strategic partnership between Kittle's and Bassett Furniture just makes perfect sense, as our companies share the same commitments to quality, value and customer service," said Kittle's President and CEO Eric Easter. "This store location was an ideal fit for a Bassett furniture store, and will fill a much needed niche in the Columbus market."
Kittle's operates 12 stores in Indiana and Ohio. It plans to open a 13th store, a new Rooms Express showroom, next month in Avon, Ind., in greater Indianapolis.
