Sainsbury's Is Withdrawing All Batches of Its 8 Chunky Caramel Chocolate Bars

UK-based supermarket chain Sainsbury's is withdrawing all batches of its 8 Chunky Caramel Chocolate bars as the product contains peanuts,which is not declared on the label,according to the Food Standards Agency(FSA).

The Agency has issued an allergy alert.Consumers who are allergic or sensitive to peanuts have been advised not to consume this product as this may lead to a severe reaction.

The product being recalled is Sainsbury's 8 Chunky Caramel Chocolate Bars,(8 x 40g pack),belonging to all date codes up to and including 16 July 2013.

Sainsbury's has withdrawn the affected product.It will display customer notices in stores,explaining the reason behind the recall.

Consumers who have bought the product can return it to the store for a full refund.No other Sainsbury's products are known to be affected.
