For the eighth year in a row, Apparel magazine, a leading international resource for the global apparel industry, has ranked UniFirst as one of America's Top 50 apparel companies. UniFirst supplies workwear and uniform rental services throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Apparel magazine has ranked UniFirst as one of America’s Top 50 apparel companies. To be eligible, companies had to record at least $100 million in annual sales, and rankings were based on overall performance and financial management.
Ranking at #10 overall, UniFirst appears on the list alongside some of America's most popular apparel companies such as Ralph Lauren (#7), Nike (#8), Gap (#13), Hanes (# 17), Levi Strauss (#30), and American Eagle Outfitters (#42). Among uniform supply companies that made the cut, UniFirst ranked #1.
UniFirst President and CEO Ronald Croatti says that the success of the Company's flagship work apparel brands demonstrates that UniFirst design and manufacturing processes are driven by a deep understanding of customers. "Our UniWeave, SofTwill, UniWear, and Armorex FR workwear brands feature the details that our customers have asked for, like comfort fabrics, roomier cuts, premium lined collars, and non-roll waistbands."
"To truly understand our customers," Croatti adds, "we build meaningful relationships with them through our in-depth uniform rental service programs."
This sort of approach begins with the fact that above all, UniFirst is a service company. "We maintain ongoing communications with our wearers while handling their weekly work uniform needs. Services include pickup and delivery, hygienic laundering, inspections, pressing, mending and replacements of workwear to ensure employees always present a professional image," explains Adam Soreff, Director of Marketing. He says that the UniFirst service model provides the Company with an ongoing 'field research lab' in the form of feedback gathering from its more than 1.5 million wearers.
"That's how we continually build the best features and services into our products and delivery systems," Soreff says. "And that helps us satisfy our customers and remain profitable."
