Juice maker Eckes-Granini Finland has relaunched its Marli Natur juice range in Elopak’s newly introduced Pure-Pak Sense Aseptic cartons
Following installation of a new aseptic filling line E-PS120A at its Turku production site, the Finnish firm started production of its Marli Natur rage of juices in Elopak’s new 1lt cartons.
Eckes-Granini Finland supply chain director Sakari Sainio said: “The new filling line provides very flexible and efficient production, with fast changeover of designs.
“We are looking forward to extending the filling line in 2017.”
Elopak, the Norwegian cartons producer, has developed the Pure-Pak Sense Aseptic carton package for aseptic products.
Featuring easy-to-fold lines to enable a significant squeeze out of more product, the new package can be flattened upon using to reduce volume in waste and recycling facilities.
Eckes-Granini Finland commercial director Torsti Hurmerinta said: “Our latest consumer tests have proven the Pure-Pak carton as the preferred packaging for long life products also.
“It is the best match for the superior natural image and high quality of the Marli juices with its novel features including the top fin-print and the easy-to-fold lines, providing additional benefits with handling and disposal of the packaging.”
In addition to ensuring product quality until the end of the 12-month shelf-life, the new Pure-Pak Sense Aseptic System features an asymmetric top allowing different sizes of closures.

Additional features of the carton include an arched top fin, which can also be printed for better range navigation and communication of product benefits.
Elopak said that the Pure-Pak Sense Aseptic carton has been developed alongside new Pure-Pak Aseptic System (PPA) filling machine technology.
