Janoschka Expands Product Range in Russia

Janoschka Pavlovsk will install a Schepers Digilas laser at the start of the new year.

The direct laser will be operational in the first quarter of 2017 and will primarily be used for embossing jobs in the tobacco business area.

By increasing its production volume as well as resources in the short to medium term, Janoschka is emphasising its objective of becoming the most customer-oriented company in the industry.

The Digilas direct laser will be shipped from Germany to Russia before the end of the year, in order to help respond to customer requirements and market demands in the growing tobacco sector with more flexibility. It is expected to be fully operational by March 2017 at the latest within the embossing product segment at Janoschka Pavlovsk.

The highly reliable Digilas generation enables the production of top quality rotary embossing tools. Textured rollers as well as traditional union embossing made up of female and male dies can also be produced. Complex 3D structures to create different surface effects and all kinds of sophisticated packaging designs are its speciality. Various different surface materials such as copper, zinc, brass, steel and aluminium can be lasered.

“Transferring this machine will allow us to not only offer all relevant production technologies in Russia; the real added value for our customers will be the significantly reduced lead times thanks partly to the elimination of highly complex customs procedures”, explains Lutz Braune, CSO at Janoschka Holding GmbH. “We will, of course, be replacing the unit at Kippenheim very quickly. In addition, we are planning two further laser investments in 2017 at our sites Janoschka Izmir and APE Malaysia, respectively”, he concludes.
