Publishers of TimeControl extend the relationship with Microsoft that started in 1995
HMS Software, the publisher of TimeControl, one of the world's most popular timesheet systems has announced that they have renewed their Microsoft Partner Certification for an 8th consecutive year. HMS has had a relationship with the Redmond-based software publisher since 1995 and has maintained a continuous certification level with Microsoft since 2004.
As a world-renowned specialist in enterprise timesheet and enterprise project management systems, HMS has worked with Microsoft's Project team since the early 90s and created a link from HMS Software's TimeControl and Microsoft Project in 1995. HMS was an inaugural member of the Microsoft Project Solution Partner program and is one of the longest standing partners of Microsoft Project in the world. In addition to its link to Microsoft Project, TimeControl was one of the first external systems to deliver a link to Microsoft's Project Server when it was first released in 2002.
"An ability to link to both Microsoft Project and Project Server is a must," says Stephen Eyton-Jones, Director of Technical Services at HMS. "At many of our clients there is a combination of the desktop Microsoft Project and Project Server and even multiple versions of Project Server. We ensure that the link from TimeControl continues to support all of the version of Microsoft Project and Project Server released in the last decade."
While HMS has relationships with several technology companies such as Oracle and Deltek, the ties between HMS and Microsoft are multi-faceted.
"We have maintained two Microsoft Partner," says Chris Vandersluis, President of HMS. "We have qualified in both the Enterprise Project and Portfolio Management and the Independent Software Vendor categories at Microsoft and that is only the beginning. TimeControl links not only to Project and Project Server but also other Microsoft Technologies such as SharePoint, SQL Server, Dynamics and others. Our personnel are trained and certified in Microsoft's technology and we have numerous relationships between our staff and Microsoft's at the operational, technical and strategic levels both locally and at Microsoft Headquarters in Redmond."
The renewal of this partnership highlights the modern-day collaboration that is required to deliver multi-purpose solutions to clients. Using HMS Software's TimeControl allows Microsoft clients to extend their timesheet functionality to comply with billing, payroll, job costing and auditable governance such as R&D tax credits, DCAA or Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Moving into the 18th year of continuous partnership, the link between HMS and Microsoft and the benefits for their joint customers seems to have no end in sight
