Top-6 China-based vendors ship over 4.5 million LCD TVs in April, says WitsView Julian Ho, Taipei; Adam Hwang, DIGITIMES [Wednesday 30 May 2012] The six largest China-based vendors shipped 4.562 million LCD TVs in April 2012, the largest monthly shipments so far in 2012 with sequential growth of 37%, according to WitsView.
The six vendors had 29% of their total shipment volume for exports in April and the proportion was 26.6% for January-April, and is expected to reach 26% in 2012, WitsView indicated. TCL had exports accounting for 40.3% of shipments in April, the largest among the six vendors, followed by Hisense with 28.3% and Konka with 23.1%.
Of the LCD TVs shipped by the six vendors during January-April 2012, 68.1% were of LED-backlit models and 21.2% were of 3D models.
