Baku, Fineko/abc.az. AAC Company Is Completing Preparation for The Start of a Plant

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. AAC company is completing preparation for the start of a plant in Garadagh district of Baku to be the first in the Caucasus on production of gas concrete blocks. AAC's marketing specialist Ramil Hasanov says that the beginning of gas-concrete blocks manufacture is scheduled for July. "Previously, we had a strict schedule of start of aerated concrete, but it was revised due to the fact that the plant uses the latest equipment, not even put to an evaluation test by the technology provider. This led to some delays in start-up works," Hasanov noted. Despite the delays, demand for aerated concrete blocks has already formed in the country. Production capacity will be 600 cu m of gas concrete per day. The most recent technological solutions and facilities of German company Wehrhahn are used to organize production. "In parallel the enterprise will produce 100-150 tons of slake and burnt lime per day," Hasanov emphasized. Choice of technology also defines chemical composition of Azerbaijani gas-concrete. Appearance of gas-concrete at Azerbaijani market will fundamentally change technology and terms of conducting construction works. The blocks will be made on individual orders in strict accordance with the project which simplifies assembly process on building yard. Gas concrete does not need additional cementation (instead gluing with special glue not thicker than 3 mm is applied), at that it is light, sawn better than wood which allows laying cables and internal communications. Construction of 1-2 storey building of average size takes not more than 4 days. Moreover there is no need to invite high-level professionals. Gas concrete blocks can be used for laying foundations, construction of exterior and interior walls, floors and roofs. "According to our estimations, construction with gas concrete blocks will reduce total construction expenses 3 fold compared to the use of traditional for Azerbaijan sandstone blocks (the so-called "cube") or bricks. Gas concrete block buildings do not need either exterior or interior draft plastering," Hasanov underlined. Gas concrete uptime is 80 yeas, it is 8 hours fire-resistant, and there is no threat of dampness, mold or fungus. Source: abc.az
