Alchemist Brewery Received a Land Use Permit to Construct a New Brewery at Stowe

Alchemist Brewery has received a land use permit to construct a new brewery at Stowe, Vermont, the US.

District 5 Environmental Commission has given the permit to the brewery, reported Burlington Free Press.

According to the permit, the brewer will have a footprint of 9,600ft2, with a 5,000ft2 mezzanine.

Alchemist owner Jenn Kimmich was quoted by Burlington Free Press as saying, "We're very optimistic, It will evolve over time. We envision it being a beautiful place in a few years."

The brewery will be located on Cottage Club Road in Stowe. Alchemist is acquiring about four acres of land from Stoweflake Resort.

Stoweflake Resort president Chuck Baraw was quoted by the publication as saying that the land agreement is likely to close in 30 days.

"I think it's tremendous, we think it's going to be wonderful, another really high-quality (business) for Stowe."

The brewery will be located close to the resort and will be built in an area known as Mountain Road Village.

Last August, Alchemist applied for an Act 250 permit to build a brewery with retail space in Stowe.
