US-based contract research organization WCCT Global has announced that it is focusing more on diabetes clinical trials, with rise of the disease.
For several years now, WCCT Global has been developing a patient database and has had a steady flow of possible participants interested in the trials. Following the growing database of diabetic participants, WCCT Global plans to quickly recruit in order to have diabetes studies up and running.
Besides the database, WCCT Global also uses its Recruitment Management Tool (RMT). So far, WCCT Global has been able to identify more than eight million people with diabetes registered to social media accounts. WCCT Global can recruit these patients with the use of the RMT.
WCCT Global Business Development Talia Nikolao said, "With the ever rising number of people who are diagnosed with diabetes, we feel compelled to assist in the development of new treatments to help rid this terrible ailment."
