It’s reported that North American Stainless (NAS), AK Steel and ATI Allegheny Ludlum, the three major stainless producers in the US have all cut its alloy surcharges for stainless steel products for July.
Also, the stainless makers have reduced the stainless surcharges for consecutive four months.
NAS cut its alloy surcharge for 304 grade stainless to US$0.6641/lb. for July, decreasing from US$0.6858/lb. in June. Also, its alloy surcharges for 316 grades decreased to US$0.9447/lb., from US$0.9766/lb.; those for 430 grades dropped to US$0.2141/lb. from US$0.2158/lb.
AK Steel reduced its alloy surcharges for 304 grades to US$0.6622/lb. from US$0.6856/lb. Meanwhile, its stainless surcharges for 316 grades fell to US$0.9423/lb. from US$0.9779/lb.; those for 430 grades declined to US$0.2141/lb. from U$S0.2158/lb.
Besides, ATI Allegheny Ludlum decreased its surcharges for 304 grades to US$0.6641/lb. from US$0.6851/lb.; those for 316 grades fell to US$0.9447/lb. from US$0.9760/lb. and those for 430 grades dropped to US$0.2141/lb. from US$0.2151/lb.
