Coking Coal Prices Reduced by NWR for Q1

Central Europe-based miner New World Resources Plc (NWR) has announced that it has reached agreements with its customers for coking coal sales for the first quarter of 2014.

Accordingly, NWR has set the average agreed price of coking coal for delivery in the first quarter of this year at €91/mt, down seven percent compared to the fourth quarter realized price.

NWR also announced its production and sales results for 2013. In the given period, the company produced 8.8 million mt of coking and thermal coal, while the coking coal sales reached 4.63 million mt.

The company targets 9-9.5 million mt of coal production and sales for 2014, with 55-60 percent of coking coal and 45-40 percent of thermal coal in the sales mix.
