SanTan Brewing Company has launched its Mr. Pineapple Wheat Ale in redesigned Rexam 12 oz. cans.
The product had been originally created as a craft beer which gained a huge popularity among craft beer lovers.
The brewery started canning the product in Rexam's products in 2013, to make it more portable.
Mr. Pineapple is a traditional German wheat ale using two-row, white wheat, caramel and Munich malt.
Availability of the beverage in aluminum cans is expected to benefit the brewery too, as the cans provide complete barrier protection from light and oxygen. It also helps preserve the beer's taste and freshness for a longer duration.
The company said it will also be able to reduce shipping costs as the cans are light-weight.
SanTan Brewing Company founder and brewmaster Anthony Canecchia said: "Working with Rexam, we created a new look for its can, something exciting that's going to make you smile from the first sip to the last drop.
"We're also very pleased to be partnering with Chiquita to improve the quality of our beer by using a premium juice that allows us to support sustainable agriculture and to be more socially responsible."
Rexam also claimed that beverage packaging was the most sustainable as it can be recycled at double the rate in comparison to other options.
Rexam BCNA president Claude Marbach said: "Our cans help attract attention on store shelves, maintain beverage integrity and deliver superior recycling, filling, distribution and retail display economics that will help the brewery continue to build its brand and business."
