North West Labels, a US-based self-adhesive label manufacturer, has completed the installation of a Bar Graphic Machinery (BGM) manufactured die cutting slitter rewinder.
North West labels managing director James McColgan said BGM's die matrix waste system, which fits all the company's die cutting products, reduces edge waste by at least 80% and enables it to increase its profit margins.
"With paper prices continually increasing and profit margins further decreasing we are always looking for ways to reduce wastage," McColgan said.
BGM drives the waste rewind with an electronic motor with variable tension controlled.
Besides, a waste capstan roller is also equipped with fully adjustable tension control system,helping to achieve up to 250m/min speeds.
