Pelican Introduces New Solution for Controlled Room Temperature Distribution Challenges

Temperature-controlled packaging solutions provider Pelican BioThermal has launched a new solution for controlled room temperature distribution challenges at Temperature Controlled Logistics in Biopharmaceuticals USA.

Part of the firm’s CRT cold chain packaging portfolio, the Series 22 Universal has been developed to manage CRT thermal requirements in pharmaceutical distribution.

The new system takes the support of a dual phase change material (PCM) coolant system, which helps to deliver better performance in any temperature conditions.

The variants of PCM will help to maintain a CRT payload space between 15-25 degrees Celsius, providing hot and cold protection across the Credo shipper’s journey.

Series 22 Universal uses 16° C and 24° C PCM, which allows to be used across the year in different conditions.

Other features of the new system include simple universal conditioning and pack out regardless of hot or cold ambient conditions the Credo shipper is exposed to during its journey.

The dual TIC design enables two PCMs to be conditioned together in one environment, allowing to eliminate the need to determine when to use summer or winter processes.

Pelican BioThermal also produces Series 22 Controlled, which is another CRT option with a single phase point for controlled shipping lanes.

Both solutions can be used with Pelican BioThermal’s full range of sizes and durations for the Credo Cube line of reusable and thermal shippers.

Pelican BioThermal sales vice president Kevin Lawler said: “Our Series 22 Universal, for Credo shippers, offers simplicity in managing CRT shipments.

“It offers operational ease of use year round and high performance in any thermal conditions.”
