Aptar Food + Beverage and GualapackGroup have partnered to introduce a premade no-spill spouted pouch solution for the European beverage market.
The companies signed an agreement to introduce the product and technological solution.
Aptar Food + Beverage provides dispensing solutions for on-the-go drinks in the beverage sector. GualapackGroup is a manufacturer of premade spouted pouches.
The new no-spill pouch fitment was unveiled earlier in the month at the Interpack event. It combines Aptar’s SimpliSqueeze valve in the squeezable and easy-to-use spouted pouch of GualapackGroup's Cheer Pack.
SimpliSqueeze valve is claimed to be a widely sold valve system across the world.
Combined with the Cheer Pack premade pouch into one packaging solution, the new product from the collaboration offers a beverage delivery package for juices, drinkable yogurts, flavored water and others.
Aptar Food + Beverage president Gael Touya said: “The result is a unique package that intends to deliver the ultimate convenience and peace of mind for busy families and consumers of all ages.
“They will enjoy the easy 'squeeze and drink' capabilities of a product designed not to leak when tipped or held upside down, a first for the European pouched beverage market.”
Earlier this month, Aptar had launched two new spouted pouch offerings in the form of EZ Twist and EZ Grip.
The two pouch offerings are claimed to have a child-friendly design making them easy to open and close on-the-move. According to Aptar, the fitments also have a unique tamper evidence system that clearly shows if the package has been opened or not before.
