The Addition of Frozen Storage Capabilities to Its State-of-The-Art Facilities

Biologics’ Clinical Research Services has announced the addition of frozen storage capabilities to its state-of-the-art facilities and cold-chain packaging and distribution.

The new service will allow Biologics to offer a wide range of insulated shippers to distribute study materials under controlled temperature environments, and extend its already extensive clinical supply management services further into the clinical trial process.

The ability to store and ship -20C product will allow the company to be involved in pre-clinical and early phase studies where the formulations still require this temperature maintenance. To optimize the study supply, Biologics now provides protocol specific packaging design and distribution strategies.

This will help take the burden of -20C storage off the study and allow trials to open to sites without this storage capability.

Biologics business development lead Karl Buer noted the company newest frozen storage and distribution offering is significant to the continued development of our Clinical Research support services.

"We are thrilled to now support clinical trials that require frozen materials and look forward to helping drive new compounds closer to the patients who need them," Buer added.

Biologics' Clinical Research Services team currently supports over 200 protocols across 55 active clinical trials. Licensed to dispense in all 50 states, service components include drug and supply procurement, patient kit design, inventory management and customized reporting.
