The assembly of LED (light-emitting-diode) lamps by Belarus technologies will start in Azerbaijan in July.
According to BELTA, the statement came from Belarus ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolai Patskevich.
It is a joint project of the National Academy of Science of Belarus and the National Academy of Aviation, while the agreement on creation of a joint venture was signed during the visit of Belarus Premier Mikhail Myasnikovic to Baku.
'The assembly of the first part of lamps on basis of light-emitting-diode technologies starts this month, serious market and production are predicted. Additionally, Azerbaijan will make other production, developed by Belarus scientists. It is a science-intensive production on which big hopes are laid', Patskevich said.
Also an agreement was signed during the visit about construction of 45 residential rural-type houses in one of the Azerbaijani regions.
