Royal Oman Police (ROP) have arrested four nationals in relation to the recent robbery at Oman Cement Company.
According to the Oman News Agency, Police said two of those arrested carried knives which were used to threaten an accountant at the company. They gained access to the factory with the help of two of the company s own staff, who have also been arrested.
The ROP said that its Department of Inquiries and Investigation at ROP Muscat Command held an investigation which led to the arrest of all four accused men, and that they have now referred the case to the Public Prosecution office.
Last month, Oman Cement Company said that around OR: 90,000 ($233,000) was stolen during the robbery, which took place just before the factory closed on the evening of 9 May.
