Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in September this year its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 793,119 metric tons, up 5.2 percent compared to August, accounting for 63 percent of domestic sales. In the first nine months of the current year, the company sold 7.15 million mt of carbon steel, accounting for 65 percent of domestic sales.
In September, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 28.71 billion ($978.2 million), down 1.35 percent month on month. In the first nine months, the operating revenues of the company totaled NTD 260.42 billion ($8.9 billion). In September, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 2.24 billion ($76.3 million), rising by 27 percent compared to August.
