According to statistics released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan imported 713,000 tons of steel in November, falling by 6.7% from a month ago and decreasing by 9.5% year on year.
Among them, 35,700 tons were steel plates, decreasing by 39.8%; 13,700 tons were steel wire products, falling by 15.3%; 144,000 tons were hot rolled coils, declining by 14.9%; 83,000 tons were cold rolled coils, down by 9.8% and 44,000 tons were galvanized steel plates, dropping by 24.9%, all compared to the figures in a month ago.
