Iran is the largest cement producer in the Middle East according to an industry survey which also placed it in the top five in the global market for the building material.
The figures were released as the country hosted the sixth International Cement, Concrete and Construction Technology Exhibition, which saw 120 companies taking part.
On show was the latest technology including ways to tackle air pollution in cement factories.
The event was also a chance to exchange views across the industry, said its organisers.
Iran has produced 55m tonnes of cement in the last nine months, with its major rivals China, India and the USA.
