MonoSol, a manufacturer of water soluble films, plans to expand its operations in LaPorte, Indiana, US, with an investment of $39m.
The company received approval for a 10-year tax abatement from the city council for $5m to build a third building at 50,000ft2 in the Thomas Rose Industrial Park.
In 2012, MonoSol added a 70,000ft addition to its LaPorte operations, and in 2010, it invested $18m to expand a site, which comprises more than 200,000ft2 of building space at present.
MonoSol makes water soluble film products including plastic cubes that are used to hold automatic dishwasher soap. It also makes films for use in areas such as medical waste disposal and packaging for pesticides.
