British packaging company Reflex Labels has purchased a new Bar Graphic Machine (BGM) for larger unwinds and also to facilitate more complex substrates in label production.
The new equipment is the 25th machine purchased by the packaging firm from the Yorkshire-based BGM.
Reflex Labels bought its first machine from BGM about ten years ago and from then has relied on the machines to provide it specific solutions required for its operations.
Reflex managing director Ian Kendall said: “From the first installation to the most recent one, the reliability of the BGM machines has been exceptional.
“The service, backup and technical knowledge has also enabled BGM to shine through as a leading supplier to Reflex.”
The newly purchased machine coincides with the 25th anniversary of Reflex Labels.
BGM sales manager Daniel Carr said: “Reflex have shown strong commitment to BGM and we are proud to be a part of their continuous growth and expansion plans.
“The latest equipment installed by BGM caters for larger unwinds but also enables more complex substrates meaning Reflex can become more specialised.”
Recently, Reflex had put into service five 450mm-wide BGM Elite 450 Ecoflex full servo multiple substrate inspection slitter rewinders. These machines have been installed for unsupported and supported substrates from 11 micron upwards, stated BGM.
The five machines are equipped with the intelligent tension control system developed by BGM. They are fitted with a 1m capacity unwind systems with their latest innovative mandrel inflation system.
According to Kendall, the inspection slitter rewinders have been shown to be exceptional, particularly in recording very high speeds with very complex substrates.
In February, Reflex Labels made a purchase of five EF multi-substrate flexo presses from MPS for label production and packaging purpose.
