According to statistics released by Japan’s Ministry of Finance, Japan exported 18,000 tons of H beams in November, falling by 10.2% from a month ago and decreasing by 2.5% year on year. The average export prices of H beams were at RMB63,000/ton, rising by RMB1,000/ton from October but falling by RMB2,000/ton year on year. In November, Japan’s H beam exports to Korea totaled 5,700 tons; those to Taiwan were at 4,000 tons; those to Hong Kong were at 2,000 tons and those to Thailand were at 2,700 tons. In the first 11 months of 2012, the country’s exports of H beam totaled 324,800 tons, down by 6.3% year on year.
