According to report, Austrian steel group Voestalpine said it has acquired Toronto-based Sturdell Industries to expand the special steel business in North America.
Voestalpine also has one steelmaking plant in Rochester in NY and the company will be part of group's special steel unit Bohler-Uddeholm Canada.
Bohler-Uddeholm employs 470 people for 25 sites in North America and the last year revenue was euro 183 million. The site of Sturdell will make products including too steels and high-speed steel.
