According to data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics,Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 100,673 tonne in November this year,decreasing 47.6%compared to October and down 24.7%YoY.The value of the iron and steel scrap imports was USD 43 million in November,falling 46.7%compared to October this year and stable compared to the same month of 2011.
Pakistan's scrap imports in the July to November 2012 period amounted to 750,780 tonne,increasing 15.4%compared to the same period one year earlier.In the period in question,the value of Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports was USD 290 million,rising 31%YoY.
Meanwhile,Pakistan's iron and steel imports in November amounted to 155,517 tonne,increasing by 13%on YoY basis and down slightly by 0.6%compared to the previous month.The country's iron and steel imports in the July to November 2012 period totaled 703,639 tonne,increasing by 3.15%YoY.In the period in question,the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was USD 578 million,rising 6.2%YoY.
