A division of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3), Packaging Society, will be flagging off the Standard for Packaging Professional Competence (SPCC) at the PPMA Show at the NEC 25-27 September 2012.
It will provide accreditation and recognition of packaging professionals not just in the UK, but beyond too, according to packagingeurope.com.
The mandate of SPCC will be to plug gaps across the packaging supply chain to promote packaging as a profession.
The Standard will pave way for a Packaging Professional (PkgProf) designation.
