Zhejiang-based Chinese company Weisheng Holding Co. has started production at its electro-slag ingot project for high-quality special alloy steel in the Xiaoshan district of Hangzhou city in China’s Zhejiang Province, as reported by Xiaoshan Daily.
A total of RMB 18 million ($2.9 million) has been invested in the project, which has a designed annual output capacity of 10,000 mt. The steels produced will include tool and die steel, precision alloy steel, corrosion-resistant steel, electro-thermal alloy steel and others. Production will be supplied to sectors including nuclear power, aerospace, heavy machinery, automotive, and petroleum.
