Washington-based western-regional surplus lines brokerage and managing general agent (MGA), Cochrane & Company has completed acquisition of Prowest Insurance Services for an undisclosed amount.
As part of the transaction, Prowest will function as a division of Cochrane, while its name and operations will remain unchanged.
Headquartered in Folsom, California, Prowest Insurance is a surplus lines broker and MGA and a provider of insurance services to residents throughout the entire state of California, US.
Established in 1960, Cochrane specializes in small- to middle-market property/casualty, transportation, personal lines, garage, professional liability, surety and exclusive programs.
The company currently runs underwriting centers in Denver, Colorado, Albuquerque in New Mexico, Kalispell, Montana, as well as Roseville, Santa Ana and Folsom in California, US.
