Sony has opened a store in the Breeze Center shopping mall in Taipei, Taiwan, and will mainly demonstrate its mid-range and high-end products including Bravia TVs, tablets, smartphones, wearables, digital cameras and headphones.
Seeing the consumer electronics market mainly focusing on price competition, which has impacted brand vendors and upstream component suppliers' profitability, Sony is now looking to escape from the circle and turning to push mid-range and high-end product lines and expand its brand recognition to stabilize its profits.
