US-based beer distributor Reyes Beverage has announced plans to acquire Gold Coast Beverage Distributors, a move that will expand the company's operations.
Gold Coast currently distributes several craft beer brands such as Boston Beer, Sierra Nevada, New Belgium and Lagunitas to more than 10,000 retailers in South Florida.
It generated over $640m in sales during the year 2013.
The proposed acquisition, which is the latest of the company's series of acquisitions, is slated for completion in January, Brewbound reported.
Upon completion, the acquisition will increase Reyes' capacity of over 100 million cases, by adding 27 million cases.
Reyes Beverage Group CEO Ray Guerin was quoted by Brewbound as saying: "Gold Coast Beverage Distributors is one of the premier beer distributors in the country, and we are very excited by this opportunity to expand our operations in the State of Florida."
Earlier in September, Reyes Beverage acquired beer wholesaler Kozak Beverages.
