US-based specialty packaging and dispensing products manufacturer Comar has acquired Shore Plastic Technologies to expand its design and engineering capabilities to better serve its customers.
Design and engineering firm Shore Plastic Tech is engaged in developing and refining products in the medical, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, and CPG industries.
The firm provides project management services including product design and development, injection mold design, project engineering, and mold and process validation.
Shore Plastic Technologies president Richard Lappine said: “Our team looks forward to joining Comar as it continues to build out its Innovation Design Center and IDworks team.
“We share a common, customer-centric philosophy and can now offer our customer base full service capabilities that extend to complete supply chain solutions including manufacturing, assembly, and distribution.”
The acquisition is a part of Comar’s effort to enhance its design and engineering capabilities in the medical device, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, and CPG market segments.

In April 2017, Comer has acquired ProPlas, a firm specialized in complex injection molding, assembly, and mold making and serves end markets including consumer goods and medical devices.
Operating seven manufacturing and various warehousing sites in the US, Comar offers in stock and custom packaging, bottles, dispensing, closures, injection and blow molding solutions
It provides industry-compliant packaging solutions for the health and wellness, specialty food, household and industrial, personal care, and related market segments worldwide.
