Toys R Us Has Removed a Range of Breaking Bad Action Figures Following an Online Petition

"Let's just say, the action figures have taken an 'indefinite sabbatical'" said Toys R Us, as counter petition launches.

Toys R Us in the US has removed a range of Breaking Bad action figures following an online petition.

Florida's Susan Meyers launched the Change.org petition as she believed accessories like a bag of cash or a bundle of the show's iconic blue meth set make the toys 'unsuitable to be sold alongside Barbie dolls and Disney characters'.

The petition now has over 9,000 supporters and as a result, the retail giant has pulled the line from its stores.

"Let's just say, the action figures have taken an 'indefinite sabbatical'," said Toys R Us spokeswoman Kathleen Waugh.

Daniel Pickett has retaliated by launching a petition in favour of the toy seller keeping the dolls, and it has over 3,000 supporters at the time of writing.

Picket states: "Toys R Us decision to sell a line of Breaking Bad action figures, complete with a detachable sack of cash and a bag of meth, in an aisle designated for adult collectors, featuring properties of a more mature nature that might appeal to older collectors, and away from the other "kid" toys, shows that Toys R Us understands there is more than one group of collectors that regularly come through their doors each day."

Even Walter White himself has waded into the debate, with actor Bryan Cranston tweeting: "I'm so mad. I am burning my Florida mom action figure in protest."
