Title insurance, mortgage services and diversified services provider Fidelity National Financial has named John D Rood to its board of directors.
Rood will replace general William Lyon, who retired from the FNF Board of Directors after 15 years of service.
Currently serving on the board of Alico, he is the founder and chairman of Vestcor Companies, which is a real estate firm with 30 years of experience in multi-family housing development and investment.
Rood also serves as a governor on the Florida Board of Governors, which oversees the State of Florida University system and on several private boards.
Having served as the US Ambassador to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas from 2004-2007, he was also appointed by governor Jeb Bush to serve on the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission from 1999-2004.
