It’s reported that Quintain Steel, one of the major steel wire product manufacturers in the Taiwan announced to leave its galvanized steel wire prices unchanged for January to reflect higher input costs even though it cut prices for wire rods.
The quotes of the US container HMS 80:20 (1&2) increased to US$378~US$380/ton CFR recently, pushing up Quintain Steel’s input costs.
However, the current market demand for galvanized steel wires has remained flat.
Therefore, Quintain Steel decided to keep its prices for galvanized steel wires unchanged for January.
