Turkey’s imports of stainless steel flat products totaled 48,712 tons in May, increasing by 10.7% month on month and soaring by 20.8% year on year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). In May, the country’s import values generated by stainless steel flats totaled US$117 million, increasing by 9.2% from a month ago and rising by 9.7% year on year. In the first five months of this year, Turkey’s imports of stainless steel flat products amounted to 183,939 tons, rising by 12.7% year on year. In the given period of time, the country’s import revenue generated by those products totaled US$452.5 million, up by 4.9% year on year. |
