The Government of Hidalgo Has Urged The Companies to Manufacture Uniforms

Sales of the textile and apparel companies in the Mexican state of Hidalgo are expected to be up by 10 percent during the next school year.

The president of the Hidalgo delegation of National Chamber of the Apparel Industry (CANAIVE), Maauad Mauro Salgado, said the back to school sales are the second best season for entrepreneurs after holidays, reports Criterio Hidalgo.

The textile and apparel companies in the state would get an opportunity to manufacture uniforms for the students attending school next year, and in this regard, the Government of Hidalgo has urged the companies to manufacture uniforms which would be delivered free of charge to the students.

Among the bidders, three companies affiliated with the CANAIVE Hidalgo have won the bid to manufacture these uniforms.

Mr. Saldago said many textile and apparel companies had signed up for the bid, and he exuded confidence that the three companies that won would be able to deliver quality products in a timely manner.

He also said that the National Innovation Center for Textile-Apparel which is to be built in the city of Knowledge and Culture in Hidalgo, would present various opportunities for the textile companies to join CANAIVE’s national projects, in addition to acquiring knowledge regarding the textile industry.

As of now, 60 textile and apparel companies affiliated with CANAIVE Hidalgo have shown interest in joining the center once it begins operations, he added.

Earlier this week, the master plan of the Innovation center for textile and apparel was devised and the operations are expected to begin in 2014.
