The Skoda Rapid Sport concept has been officially unveiled at this year's Worthersee tuning show?in Austria.
Initially seen in sketches earlier this week, the Skoda Rapid Sport concept is intended to show a particularly sporty and "emotional" version of the compact sedan that sits between the Skoda Fabia and new Octavia in the Czech brand's range.
The concept separates itself from the standard car with a grey and red two-tone metallic paint job, aggressive front and rear bumpers and skirts, emboldened tail-lights, a black boot lip spoiler, squared-off dual-exit exhaust system and 19-inch alloy wheels highlighted with black on one side and red on the other.
The interior receives a sports steering wheel, Recaro seats and illuminated door sills.
Skoda board chairman Winfried Vahland said participating in the Volkswagen Group show was a matter of honour, given the brand's almost 112-year tradition in motorsports.
Joining the Skoda Rapid Sport concept at this year's event was the Skoda Fabia S2000 rally car (pictured above), the 370kW/560Nm Volkswagen Golf Design Vision GTI concept and the Volkswagen Amarok R-Style concept.
