Former Nike Design Trio Confirm Adidas Employment

Adidas has officially assigned employment IDs to a trio of former Nike designers who left the swoosh company last year.

Former Nike Design Trio Confirm Adidas Employment

According to a photo on Marc Dolce’s twitter page (@marcdolce) he, Denis Dekovic and Mark Miner were inducted into the Adidas senior leadership team on Mar. 31, 2016. Dolce issued a statement with the photo that read, "We are inspired, honored and excited to be a part of the amazing @adidas family. Let's dream without limits..."

This marks the end of the trio’s non-compete agreement with Nike, which went into effect when the group left in Sept. 2014. Their department from the company also brought a lawsuit from Nike, when the group tried to open an Adidas-backed design center in Brooklyn, NY.

Marc Dolce will now act as Adidas VP and Creative Director. Mark Miner, former Senior Footwear Designer at Nike, will also hold a lead design role at Adidas, but has not issued the title on his social media. Denis Dekovic, famous for creating the Nike Magista football boot, has also not issued an official title at Adidas.
