PTC today announced that Vitamix is streamlining its industrial design and engineering processes through PTC Global Product Development.
By using PTC Creo to develop new products, Vitamix is enabling faster design decisions and aiming to cut product design times by 25% while still manufacturing high-quality, innovative products. The company is also now implementing PTC Windchill? to further expand engineering and operational efficiencies by enabling secure sharing of product information across a highly distributed design team.
Vitamix manufactures and markets superior blending and mixing products directly to the public and the restaurant/hospitality industry. The company is widely recognized among consumer product publications for quality and innovation. A longtime PTC customer, Vitamix relies on PTC Creo to allow its engineers to quickly and easily design new products with more consumer-focused variants.

With the solid PTC Creo footprint already in place, Vitamix is now in the process of implementing PTC Windchill. By adding PLM to manage the new product development process, Vitamix is further driving its commitment to manufacturing premium products with the highest performance and durability.
