Reebok and Les Mills, both pioneers in group fitness, are creating a series of one-day festivals that will see crowds of up to 6,000 people working out in unison at iconic venues across the world.
Pumping music, state of the art lighting and thousands of like-minded people working out together will rock stadiums from the Grand Palais in Paris to the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. The Reebok Les Mills ONE LIVE tour kicked off in Glasgow, Scotland on Mar. 14, 2015 and will make stops in Dubai, Melbourne, Stockholm, Tokyo, Toronto and Chicago. The U.S. ONE LIVE event will be held Aug. 28-30, 2015 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Les Mills International chief executive Phillip Mills says that the ONE LIVE events are an opportunity for people to experience the benefits of group fitness in an exciting and inspirational environment, combining the best sound, lighting and Les Mills expert instructors to create an exhilarating fitness experience like no other. Mills said, "We're turning up the volume on our group workouts, with the best in sound and lighting to get huge crowds motivated and moving as one. It is such an amazing feeling when you get thousands of people working out in unison. The energy is electric."
The mission for Les Mills is to create a fitter planet and the world tour is one way of reaching as many people as possible through the power of group exercise.
"Absolutely everyone is welcome to join in, so if you are keen to get a great workout in a party atmosphere then you must find your way to a ONE LIVE event in 2015," Mills adds.
Reebok Brand President Matt O'Toole says the ONE LIVE tour is another example of Reebok and Les Mills challenging the status quo of fitness culture.
O'Toole said, "Our partnership with Les Mills was born out of a mutual vision for changing the future of studio fitness through innovative programming and product. So, we're confident the ONE LIVE tour will motivate people, from all walks of life, to come along and workout with us it will be exhilarating, inspiring and definitely worth it!
"At Reebok, we believe that fitness can unlock one's true potential in so many ways, helping them to become better versions of themselves. Reebok's new brand mark features three sides which represent the physical, mental and social changes that come through living a fitness lifestyle. We live and breathe it here and we believe that each person wanting to try can do it too," adds O'Toole.
Featuring iconic Les Mills group workouts such as BODYPUMP BODYCOMBAT and RPM ONE LIVE events will also include innovations such as a talent search for the world's best Les Mills instructors. Known simply as 'The One', qualified Les Mills instructors will be invited to submit video examples of themselves leading workouts. The best of these will be invited to compete at their local ONE LIVE event. The winners from each event will go on to represent their region in a grand final at the Sweden ONE LIVE event in Oct. 2015. The final winner who is crowned 'The One' will be flown to Auckland, New Zealand to participate in Les Mills Masterclass filming in 2016.
