Fatherson Bakery has installed a new printer and labeling system from SATO UK, in a bid to streamline its labeling processes and improve operating efficiencies.
According to SATO, the UK-based bakery was looking to increase its productiveness and approached the company for support in implementing a new system.
Products supplied by Fatherson Bakery need display of three types of labels, which include product labels, tray end labels that show the content of a smaller delivery unit, and drop or delivery labels.
SATO recommended its CL printer together with its LabelGallery Truepro software to serve the purpose.
LabelGallery can interface well with the Sage Business Software operated by Fatherson Bakery and automates various processes. It also watches for the production run file for standard product labeling.
LabelGallery also monitors customer delivery information and prints labels suitable for adhesion to deliveries or inclusion into document wallets.
SATO UK managing director Neil Batchelor said the solution helped to increase the efficiency of Fatherson Bakery's processes and productivity and also helped to improve its traceability management.
"LabelGallery not only produces clear barcoded labels which achieve all standards, but also enhances business efficiency," Batchelor said.
The label print data is extracted and the label run is instigated on the SATO's CL thermal barcode printer. It features an operator screen which enables the user to select and enter additional label information if required.
Additional features of the label process enable to interface with company production or ERP systems to collect the necessary print data automatically and trigger label production, SATO said.
