John Varvatos, the American menswear designer known for his rock n roll influenced design sensibilities, has recently unveiled a new line, inspired from the signatures styles of the legendary rock musician of all times ‘Jimi Hendrix’.
Drawing inspiration from the late guitarist’s vintage black-and-white images, taken by renowned British portrait photographer Gered Mankowitz, the newly launched collection is a contemporary take on the music icon’s 1960’s psychedelic wardrobe.
Exclusively available at JohnVarvatos.com, the just unveiled limited edition capsule range features tailored jackets with intricately detailed gold bullions, a pair of low-rise single back pocket fitted pants, a hook and bar cut floral jacquard vest, a wing-collared silk shirt and an embroidered scarf. The Italian-born designer Varvatos is the two-time winner of CFDA’s Menswear Designer of the Year award.
Last year, the music-inspired popular lifestyle brand Lyric Culture had launched an exclusive Jimi Hendrix-dedicated collection, replete with the musician’s images and handwritten poetry printed on it.
