US-based privately-held spinal device company K2M has launched new VENADO Foam Strips and VENADO Granules bone graft systems under its US biologics range.
VENADO is a new product family in K2M's growing biologics portfolio, which already offers VIKOS Allograft Systems and VESUVIUSTM Osteobiologic Systems.
Designed to improve bone regeneration, the systems act as an osteogenic stimulus after spine surgery and are available in a variety of configurations and sizes.
VENADO Foam Strips are purified fibrillar collagen and biphasic granules, which hydrate quickly in blood or saline, and become flexible and moldable, yet are less likely to dissociate or break apart.
VENADO Granules are a biphasic combination of hydroxyapatite and beta-tricalcium phosphate with resorption characteristics.
K2M president and CEO Eric Major said the firm is happy to unveil the VENADO Bone Graft Systems and to expand its presence in the rapidly growing biologics sector.
"The launch of VENADO enables us to meet a significant demand for the high quality products surgeons have come to expect from K2M," Major added.
