Several Thousand Bales of Cotton Have Been Burnt to Ashes Due to a Fire in Karachi

Several thousand bales of cotton have been burnt to ashes due to a fire that erupted in the wee hours of March 17, at a warehouse owned by the Trading Corporation of Pakistan.

 The warehouse that caught fire is located in the Korangi Industrial area of the port city.
 
The blaze was brought under control after a great effort by fire brigade units from all parts of Karachi.
 
However, thousands of bales of cotton were gutted in the mean time.
 
The cause of fire and the amount of loss is still unknown.
