International Food Products Has Selected Epic Systems as Engineering Firm

International Food Products has selected Epic Systems as engineering firm to develop the process and packaging lines for its $20m facility in St. Louis, Missouri.

The project includes installation of product sanitary blending skids, batch mixing systems, and liquid and powder packaging lines.

Of the six semi-automated packaging lines four will be new, one relocated, and the other will be retrofitted.

EPIC project manager John Stork said that the automated batching/blending systems will increase line capacities on both their liquid and dry packaging lines.

The 227,500ft2 facility is slated to be fully operational by early 2014. It combines a distribution center with manufacturing operations for International Food Products.

International Food Products provides ingredients and custom formulations to the food, beverage and dairy industries in the US, Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
