Privately held spirits company Bacardi will release super-premium rum Bacardi Gran Reserva Maestro de Ron next week.
Named after the Maestros de Ron (Master Blenders), Bacardi Gran Reserva Maestro de Ron will be formally launched at James Beard Foundation Awards on 4 May.
The rum is crafted and double-aged using white oak casks that give soft notes of oak and offer smooth taste and is best served with premium tonic waters.
Bermuda based company said it has made de Ron for aspiring cocktail connoisseurs who want heightened sophistication and superior character.
Bacardi US vice-president, rum category, Arvind Krishnan said: "We are thrilled to announce the launch of BACARDí Gran Reserva Maestro de Ron, which is yet another stepping stone towards premiumization within the rum category.
"Bacardi has always been dedicated to creating only the best possible rums and we believe we have continued in that tradition with BACARDí Gran Reserva Maestro de Ron. The rum embodies the versatility of a mixing spirit without sacrificing the bold characteristics of an aged, super-premium liquid."
It will be available across US at suggested retail price of $24.99.
