China-based LED epitaxial wafer and chip maker San'an Optoelectronics saw revenues of CNY3.602 billion (US$576 million) and net profit of CNY1.447 billion for January-September 2015 increase 3.55% and 37.82% respectively on year, while fellow maker HC SemiTek had revenues of CNY699 million growing 34.41% but net profit of CNY8.9 million dropping 88.0%, according to the companies.
San'an Optoelectronics has expanded production capacity by adding 40 MOCVD sets, of which 20-30 will come into operation by the end of 2015.
China-based LED packaging service provider Guangzhou Hongli Opto-Electronic posted January-September revenues of CNY1.135 billion and net profit of CNY100 million, hiking 65% and 88% on year, while fellow maker MLS saw revenues of CNY2.887 billion rise about 4%, but net profit of CNY249 million slip 25% due to a sequential decrease of 79% in third-quarter net profit.
